Served in the US Air Force as an F-16 crew chief and worked in classic airplane restoration upon leaving the Air Force due to medical issues that came about while in service. Studied and certified through many fields from building industrial laser power supplies, computer building and software configuration, automotive, motorcycles, classic cars, psychology and human services. I have an associates in human services with a focus on addiction counseling. I’m one semester away from a Bachelor’s degree, have had many ASE certificates for various automotive repairs, PHD certified in Harley Davidson. I’ve volunteered countless hours in the addictions area including, teaching substance use classes and anger management courses inside Travis County Del Valle Jail for the general and veteran populations.  

Living and enjoying life on life’s terms when I can. Being as good as I can be for my family, neighbors and society at large.  

Canyon Springs Resort Property Owners Association (CSR POA) has been operating on a bare minimum budget for many decades. I moved to CSR POA at the end of January in 2017 with my wife. We would have been here sooner, had a prior board not have held us up on our closing for almost 6 months. The treasurer from that board told my lender in an email, the legal counsel for the POA said that 30 years of dues needed to be paid up front to wave first foreclosure rights. They were telling my lender the POA had first foreclosure rights over a VA loan. As soon as my lender dropped their attorney on them, the board rolled and let us close. I later found out, at my first meeting here in February of 2017, there was no LEGAL counsel for the association. Someone was posing as an attorney.  Through my work with CSR POA and other non-profits I have gained extensive knowledge of Robert’s Rules of Order and non-profit operations. 

 In my first few years here, I studied the county plats and documents related to CSRPOA at the county clerk’s office with Laurie Bowerman and Attorney Cy Jenkins. We’ve worked hard and will still continue to work hard at moving forward, correcting the mistakes and misguidance of the past association’s boards. I agree with Bill Tuzin's statement and support this message: CSR POA "has languished for far too many years due to lack of engagement from the majority of property owners. In the recent special assessment election only 99 voted against the special assessment while 189 property owners had already paid for it. THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN AGAIN - VOTE PARKDBL!”
